TDM2000 Polska is currently looking for 3 Polish participants for a Training Course “Youth takes the Stage in the UK: Theatre and Campaigning Course” which will be implemented in the ASHA Centre, UK between 22nd to 30th of September.
This project is addressed to youth workers, youth leaders and volunteers in youth organisations, aged 18-35, and interested in using theatre methods in youth work youth activists.
This is an Erasmus+ (Mobility of youth workers) project aimed at developing youth workers’ competences in facilitating youth-led campaigns using theatre methods.
The project is part of a series of three training courses to be held in the UK, Albania and Georgia. All three courses will bring together different groups of participants.
The main themes of the project are youth campaigning, active citizenship, creativity and theatre. This training course (taking place in UK in September 2015) will bring together participants and trainers from partner organisations in eight countries (UK, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Turkey, Croatia, Estonia, Italy)
- To train youth workers and youth leaders in using theatre tools and methods in youth campaigning;
- To develop leadership skills of youth workers, so they can foster a new generation of youth leaders;
- To exchange experience and good practice in youth campaigning tools and methods;
- To develop youth workers’ creativity and artistic skills;
- To increase the quality of European co-operation between youth organisations within the Erasmus+ Programme.
A non-formal education, participatory learning approach will be used, following principles of acting and being an active citizen, respecting individual knowledge and skills, enabling
participants to co-facilitate the learning process, sharing creative ideas and information, using art and theatre and campaigning as tools in youth work.
Please note this is not an academic conference or a professional theatre course!
Travel budget for Polish participants is 275 euro.
ASHA will reimburse your travel expenses at 80% of the overall cost. Please bare in mind the new Erasmus Plus travel limits for your country.
However, if for good reasons your travel costs exceed the limit, we will still reimburse at 80%. If you do intend to purchase tickets that exceed the Erasmus + limit for your country, you must contact ASHA first for approval before purchasing the ticket. If you do not, we will only reimburse a maximum of 80% of travel costs up to a maximum of the travel limit for your country.
! Note: Please note if you bought your ticket in your local currency which might be different than EUR, we will calculate your travel costs according to the exchange rates from official European Commission website.
!!!! Note: Please make sure you have return tickets for all stages of your travel (return plane tickets, return bus tickets, etc.). Reimbursement will be given only on the basis of an existing ticket. No advance reimbursement for future tickets will be given.
!!!!! Note: If you plan to travel outside the official project dates you need Asha’s approval first.
Tickets for travel outside the official travel dates purchased without Asha’s approval may not be reimbursed.
Please DO NOT BUY tickets before consulting with the organisers.
Organisers will only reimburse DURING the training so you should also buy RETURN tickets from the airports to Gloucester). Those of you who are planning to stay in the UK outside project dates longer should also buy RETURN tickets from the airports to Gloucester.
Organisers will arrange pick-ups from Gloucester coach station to ASHA Centre (no public transport is available on this route).
